A complete tour across the Andean altiplano. We climb via Socaire to Miscanti and Miñiques lagoons, two intensely blue bodies of water framed by snow-capped volcanoes. We continue to Talar Salt Flat and the Red Rocks, a formation tinted by iron oxidation that, together with the salt flat's mirror, is one of Chile's most photogenic landscapes. We have lunch in Socaire on the way back. Long day at a steady pace.
