Terms & Conditions

These terms govern the booking of tours operated by Atacama Trail. By confirming a booking you accept these conditions.

1. The booking

A booking is confirmed once payment is received. We send you an email with the booking ID, tour details and pickup time. Tour operator: Atacama Trail, San Pedro de Atacama, Chile.

2. Prices & payment

Prices are listed in CLP, as group total for 1 to 4 persons. For larger groups please reach out to coordinate additional vehicle(s). We accept Webpay (Chilean cards) and WISE international transfers. No cash.

3. Cancellations & refunds

Cancellations 48+ hours before: 100% refund. Within 48 hours: 50% retained. No-show: no refund. If we cancel due to weather or safety, we offer reschedule at no cost or full refund.

4. Passenger responsibility

Passengers must disclose relevant medical conditions (cardiac, pregnancy, altitude), arrive on time at pickup and follow the guide's instructions. We may exclude passengers who pose a risk to themselves or the group, without refund.

5. Insurance & liability

We operate licensed vehicles with up-to-date insurance. We strongly recommend taking out personal travel insurance covering medical emergencies, evacuation and force-majeure cancellations. Atacama Trail is not liable for damage or loss of personal items.

6. Multi-tour packs

Packs of 2+ tours include automatic discount. Dates are coordinated by email or WhatsApp after payment. If we cannot offer the requested date, we propose alternatives or refund the affected tour.

7. Changes

Atacama Trail reserves the right to change itineraries due to operational or safety reasons, keeping the spirit of the booked tour.

8. Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Chile. Any dispute is submitted to the courts of Calama / Antofagasta.
